Call From Acres of Hope

Acres of Hope called bright and early this morning. I was thrilled, thinking it was news that Pea's adoption had finalized. Not so, unfortunately. In fact, Pea has a repiratory infection. I'm not really worried about her. She's been through this before and she's so much stronger now. Donna said that many of the kids are suffering resp. infections and malaria right now because of the rainy season. As I pray for Pea's health, I'm also remembering all the other kids and the staff who have to care for inevitably cranky sick kiddos.

As for the finalization, there's a group of us that have been delayed, but we should hear soon that it has gone through. Then they'll apply for her passport (about a 1 month wait) and then for her visa (about a 2-8 week process), and THEN we'll be able to travel! I'm still thinking (hoping) September, but we'll see.

Hey Rae~
I got "the call" too. Malaya has malaria again and she has a respiratory infection too. I bet our girls are keeping that baby orphanage BUSY! Hope she/they feel better soon...I have been praying.

Talk To Me

I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at xawilsons@hotmail.com. Much obliged, I'm sure.
