The Adventures of Language Mangler and Domestic Diva

Aaron and I thought of more of Punky's cute manglings of words/phrases.

toothtaste = toothpaste

pillows = pills

num-a-num = banana

zoo-candy bread = zucchini bread

It's a tough decision whether Mama should make num-a-num "cake" (bread) or zoo-candy bread! The difficulties in the life of a 2 1/2 year old!

And, I just have to show off a bit! My mom taught us to sew when we were girls, but in high school I had a disastrous encounter with a vest I was making and quit. (Mom found the wreckage in the back of the sewing closet, fixed it for me, and gave it to me for Christmas--wonderful thought, but I never wanted to see the hideous thing ever again!) Ever since I've only been confident sewing straight lines, so quilting has been quite the thing for me. My SIL is due with her second--a boy--in February, so I made the quilt below for her baby. And, I made the pillow for my almost 2 year old niece, Coral--WITHOUT a pattern! I even hand-embroidered her name on it! Look out Martha Stewart!

Awesome job on the quilt. I love to quilt too! We should get together and make a few for the auction for ANB...We could even get some of the other girls to join us and do a quilting circle.

Talk To Me

I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at Much obliged, I'm sure.
