My mom is coming for her annual visit (sounds like I'm an OB/GYN doesn't it?!) on the 17th through the 25th. All day today Punk was saying things like: "When's Grandma Linda coming?", "Let's pick up Grandma Linda", "I want Grandma Linda to come NOW!" I kept asking him every time if he wanted to call Grandma Linda and tell her he was looking forward to seeing her. Each time he said no (not a surprise from the boy who enjoys playing phone, but detests the real thing). Finally while I was getting dinner together, he agreed to call her. She was duly charmed. Then Punk and I made this beautiful paper chain to count down til her visit.



I'm thinking about making one for when we're in Liberia for Punk to anticipate our (and Pea's) homecoming. I'm a little skiddish to do it though because "THIS IS AFRICA" and absolutely nothing goes according to plan. On the other hand, I'm thinking he'd be down with adding more rings. I don't know. Plenty of time to figure that one out.


And, finally, we stopped over at Toys R Us today because Punk was being a good shopper during my errands. Well, that and he vowed to never, ever throw a fit again (of his own accord!). Anyhow, they're taking an additional 50% off their clearance prices (I buy Punk's wardrobe from Ebay, so I've never even looked at the clothes in TRU), so I got a few basics for Pea: white short sleeve shirt in 2 sizes: $1.70 x 2, ruffled white skirt: $1.35, ruffled pink shirt (to go with skirt I already bought): $1.35, total: $6.47 for 4 brand new items. Pretty pleased. Thought some of the rest of you might want to get some things (for your own kiddinkidinks or donations). :)
