Despite the nature of our last adventure to a waterfall, we embarked on a similar trek yesterday just before noon. We packed a picnic lunch between our rain ponchos in the baby backpack, loaded up on sunscreen and bug juice (carefully rubbing Off onto Punk's brow with special attention this time), and piled into the Big Blueberry, headed for Copper Falls. On the way, Punk asked, "Mama? If it rains, do we have dry clothes in here?" I told him that, even better, we brought ponchos that would keep us dry even in the rain.


About mid-way through the loop-trail we had to cross the river, but we paused under the bridge to eat our lunch and throw some stones into the water (this is a favorite pass-time of my children--and my hubby entertained himself skipping stones--he's pretty good!).
