Happy Birthday my little SweetPea! We adore you so much! You've brought such joy and laughter, wonder and charm to our lives. We can't imagine our family without our little PeaPod and we can't believe how far you've come in the last year. On July 15 of 2007 we were at family camp with our church family in Boise, but our thoughts were of you, far, far away across the ocean, turning two years old. We were dreaming of this day, when we would be able to celebrate you and your birth and your life!

I love your tiny, high-pitched giggle as you listen to Tia Sarah singing "Happy Birthday" over the phone. I love how you've said "My Bird Ay!" three hundred and fifty-two times today. I love that you generously shared your quarter-machine chiclets with Punk today because his quarter was eaten by the other machine. I love that you threw a fit this morning when Daddy and I got out of bed wailing, "Ah wanna tuggle!" (translation, "I want to snuggle"). I love when you gaze at me out of those gorgeous dark eyes. I love when you throw those scrawny little arms around my neck and squeeze with all your might (which still isn't much). I love how delicate and feminine you are and I love when you growl out truck or lion sounds! I love you, my precious girlie!

Today my thoughts are very full of the wonder of you, the reality of you, but I'm still thinking of a precious life far, far away across the ocean. Your first mother brought you into this world three years ago. What was she thinking and feeling that day? What is she thinking and feeling today? My heart can only imagine. I know so little about her, but I know she'd be very, very proud of you today, Sweetheart. Happy Birthday, Little Pea and we pray that God will touch your first ma's heart in a special way today too.
