The Five of Us, Spring 2014
What a Weekend!
We had a wonderful Saturday (sorry it has taken me so long to share it with you!). We had a slow, relaxing morning and then headed out to a free family fun fair at a local church. They had free carnival rides set up and the kiddinkidinks were entralled! We all had a lot of fun! We forgot to bring the camera, but Aaron got some sweet shots on the camera-phone. Here are a few of the best.
After riding all the rides we were all tall enough for (most them over and over) and after a well-timed round of hot dogs, we bought a candy apple for Punk (not a caramel apple, a candy apple--my first ever!) and a funnel cake for Pea. The kiddinkidinks thought these were almost as great as the rides!
When we were thoroughly intoxicated with the heady blend of sugar and adrenaline, we climbed into the Big Blueberry for a drive to Raleigh. The REI dividend was burning a whole in our pockets and a certain orange haired boy "needed" a big boy bike!
We got home late Saturday night and Sunday morning, Punk woke me at 7:00, fully dressed to the shoes and ready to ride his new bike! I drug myself out of bed, whipped up some breakfast for us and before the clock struck 8, we were outside in the cold, damp fog having a grand old time! And, I had the camera!
Climb on, big boy!
You can see the little droplets of rain in this one!
Thinking hard about how it works. There's probably some unseen tongue action going on here too!
Buddies on the go! Pea inherited the trike. She needs practice pedalling.
His first crash. :( And Mama snapped a pic before running to his aid! He just turned a little too sharply. After a little TLC, he said, "I wanna go back." Me: "You wanna go back inside? Okay." Punk: "NO! I wanna go back on my bike!!!" :)
What a good attitude, Punkinhead!
Do you think he likes it? Too bad it's been rainy ever since. Maybe the sun'll come out this afternoon.

Talk To Me
I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at xawilsons@hotmail.com. Much obliged, I'm sure.
