The Bride

After posting pics of only Pea, I realized that it really isn't her wedding and some of you might actually want to see the lovely couple! So, here are the ceremony highlights, as recorded by the same relative of the groom as in the previous post.
The giving of the bride. Melodie's father walked her down the aisle while a close family friend (also a missionary in Africa) officiated. Then, Melodie's dad continued with the rest of the service.Saying vows.Exchanging rings. Cool story--Melodie had a purity ring from her parents. She wanted to give it to Kevin as a gift and symbol of her purity that she was now giving to him. She knew he wouldn't want to wear it, so she had it melted down and recreated into his wedding band. Pretty great idea, huh?Sealed with a kiss!Sadie, Sadie, married lady (does anyone else get this reference?).

And, there you have it. In case you missed it. :)

The purity ring melted down...given to him... so cool. The whole wedding was cool, I loved Mark's exhortation to the couple. (well, not just to the couple...it spoke and convicted me too!) Denise :)

Talk To Me

I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at xawilsons@hotmail.com. Much obliged, I'm sure.
