The Five of Us, Spring 2014
A Nip in the Air
5 October 2010
After a very long, hot summer, followed by 3-4 days of unending rain, we finally have a little nip in the air! Hooray for fall weather! Fall is my favorite season. I love pulling on a warm sweater and layering up. I love the warm colors, the pretty pumpkins, the yummy pumpkin pies and apple crisps. Autumn is just chock full of goodness.
But, this quick change in the weather made me take inventory of the kiddinkidinks' closets. Each of them had a few things for fall, but both were ready for a new fall/winter wardrobe. So, off to Once Upon a Child we went.
Punk, of my two kiddinkies, is the fashion plate. He loves getting new clothes, loves modeling them, loves mixing and matching them. So, he was thrilled to his toes when I told him where we were going. But, Pea was happy too.
Besides being into his style, Punk is also VERY into math. So, he was great about checking all the prices and making sure we all stayed within the limits I set for us at the beginning.
Here's everything we got for about $100! I was pretty proud of myself and my little bargain shoppers!
Here are Punk's finds:
6 long-sleeve tee-shirts
3 pairs of "athletic" pants
a fleece sweatsuit
a sweatshirt
two long-sleeve polos
a pair of jeans without a button
a pair of flannel polar bear pajamas
His favorite pieces are the "naughty monkey" tee-shirt because "It's so cute!", the maroon and grey sweatsuit because it is "cozy," and the green polo because it is so handsome. The flaming football shirt was another must-have for him because the flames actually sparkle, making this the only "fancy" piece in the lot!Pea's collection includes:
2 long-sleeve tee-shirts
a lycra blouse (!!!!)
a rock-star-esque tunic and legging combo
a pink hoodie dress (one of my faves)
2 pairs of jeans and a pair of fleece sweatpants
a zip-up sweatshirt
a suede and fur vest
cupcake pajamas
and a Disney princesses leotard
That makes 31 pieces all together. Not bad, not bad at all.

Talk To Me
I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at xawilsons@hotmail.com. Much obliged, I'm sure.
