Snow? Really?! SNOW?!!!
I have The Weather Channel's toolbar installed on my Explorer, so I can always see the current temp, the day's predicted high, and tomorrow's forecast at a glance. This morning when I checked the weather, there was an ominous orange box around the current conditions (38 F Sunny). So, I clicked and lo and behold, we're under a Winter Weather Advisory and supposed to get SNOW tomorrow!
Here's the exact advisory:
... WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR PARTS OF SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA AND NORTHERN SOUTH CAROLINA FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT AND CONTINUING THROUGH TUESDAY.
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES COULD OCCUR IN THE ADVISORY AREAS WITH ALL SNOW ENDING LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

- 11/18/08 Last spoke with contact about possible domestic adoption; expected to hear back about meeting with birthmother
- 12/3/08 Withdrew application from AOHG
- 1/6/09 Found out another family had been chosen for possible domestic adoption
- 1/21/09 USCIS fingerprinting appointment
- 1/8/09 Received USCIS fingerprinting appointment notice
