The Five of Us, Spring 2014
Mother's Day
I totally got spoiled today! I got to sleep in a little, then had my favorite breakfast (Eggs Florentine) in bed! I had to open my gifts first, though. Punk is very excitable when it comes to gifts and surprises! He can't wait for anyone to open a wrapped gift. :)
Aa helped the kids make some art for me. Here's Pea's (she loves purple!):
On the back it says,
"I love mommy because:
1. She is nice.
2. She cooks very well.
3. She is pretty. Really, really pretty.
4. She is a princess.
5. She has pretty lipstick."
Number 4 is my favorite!
This is Punk's. It's a pirate treasure map. See the sandy beach on the island? And the "bolcano" on the right? The large green mass above the volcano is a diamond (like the kind in an engagement ring) and the other large green mass is a ruby. I wear three rings every day--my wedding set and two ruby rings--one for each of the kiddinkidinks.
On the back, this one says,
"I love mommy because:
1. She is pretty.
2. She makes good food.
3. She hugs me and gives me kisses.
4. She takes care of me when I get sick.
5. She gave me an awesome sister!"
Obviously, #5 is my fave of Punk's!
Also, this morning at church there was a wonderful video of many of the children sharing reasons why they love their moms. Punk and Pea both are in it. I will let you know where you can see it as soon as it is on the internet!
Pea made this beautiful pin for me at school. I wore it proudly all day.
The one thing I asked Aa for was a pedastal cake plate with a dome. He went to the antique store and found this.
I love it! I am trying to invent a reason to make a cake to put in it!
