The Five of Us, Spring 2014
Growing, growing, growing...
Punk's prayers are so fun to listen to! Lately they've been sounding like this, "Lorrrrd, thank you for the wet land and the dry land and for the flowers and trees to make the world pretty. Thank you for all this forgiveness, and happiness, and joyness, and loveness. And please send us a new baby boy. And I pray that he will not say bad words to Mommy or Daddy or me or Pea."
This week Pea learned to put on her own seatbelt. Because of her rough start in life, it sometimes takes her a long time to catch on to new concepts. After many, many, many repetitions, she gets it. I've been working with her on the seatbelt for a while now and it seemed like she just wasn't understanding how you have to pull it from over your shoulder. But, something clicked this week and she's got it! I reached in to do it for her yesterday and she pushed my hand away and said, "I can do it!" Ooops! I had forgotten!
This morning the kiddinkidinks found 5 dead bugs just inside the front door. I don't know why they are all congregated there, nor why they are all dead (better dead than alive, though!). But, Punk and Pea were very curious about them. Punk ran off to grab his "Monster Bugs" book and set about identifying our specimens. He narrowed it down to Ant Lions or Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. Unfortunately, our bugs are just the ordinary kind. Guess we'll have to buy our little entomologist a more comprehensive identification guide!

Talk To Me
I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at xawilsons@hotmail.com. Much obliged, I'm sure.
