Birthday Board Games

So, I mentioned yesterday that we played endless rounds of our new board games while my mom was here. Fun times! Punk is starting to get the hang of following the rules and often asks to play a game together. This morning he asked to play "See-kwentz" with me. His imagination is SOOO active! Before long Jack and Chandler were playing along (these are his friends that we had lunch with yesterday--of course, the real J and C were no where to be seen). He renamed the discard pile the "garbage can" and giggled every time he played a card! It was really cute. He can't wait to get to the toy store to pick out another game with his remaining birthday money! YAY! He takes after me! :)

(If there are any comments about my child's jammie matching skills--stripes match with stripes, y'all--or about my complete inability to control the clutter in my household, I will promptly quit photographing my life for you. I'm just sayin'.)

:) J and C would love to come over and play the game! :) Love the jammies, it shows you know when to fight a battle.

You inspired me to get out the games we have for Jo -- but she just doesn't get it yet! We ended up playing "house" with the monkeys from her Barrel of Monkeys. Maybe she'll start to understand the concept of playing games in another few months. (I hope)

Peter and I are highly-competitive game players... we've often wondered if it does more harm than good for our relationship because with only two players there is a winner and there is a loser! But we keep coming back for more, so I guess its working okay. It will be nice to add some more numbers to the mix once the kids are old enough!

Talk To Me

I blog for myself and my kids and I would do it even if no one else cared, but I do like to hear from you (and think it's a wee bit creepy of you to voyeurize us without my knowing it). So, please leave a comment from time to time, or email me anytime at xawilsons@hotmail.com. Much obliged, I'm sure.
