The Five of Us, Spring 2014
Punk's School PreBday Party
Punk's preschool teacher allowed the children with summer birthdays to sign up for a day to celebrate with the class. Today was Punk's day!
The morning of the Kindergarten field trip, I took him out for a donut after we dropped Pea off for her class since we didn't have to be to the elementary school for another half-hour. While we were enjoying our donuts, Punk said, "Mom! Write this down: Dear Mom, For my birthday I want donuts. You can buy donuts and chocolate frosting and sprinkles. Put on the frosting and sprinkles. Then, for a finishing touch, a cherry in the middle!"
I totally forgot about it until I looked at my calendar at 9:45 last night. So, in the midst of pouring rain, I ran out to grab these fine ingredients.
This morning Punk and Dadders assembled the sugar bombs. Punk was in charge of sprinkles and cherries and did a great job.
At school with his new best school friend!Punk helped pass out the donuts to his classmates. They had to raise their hands if they wanted one--every hand was raised! Not quite done passing them out, but what can you do when you have frosting on your thumb?! A little Punkin-spit never hurt anyone!Oh boy! About to partake of the fruit of his labors...And the first bite is delish!
